Royal Seed Orphanage


The main aim of the Royal Seed Orphanage is the creation of a comfortable and dependable home-substitute for orphans and other socially disadvantaged children in the society.

There are around 150 kids in the Home and around 300 kids in the school. The age of the kids is between a few weeks and around 18 years. The project contains 2 boys rooms, 2 girls rooms, 1 baby room, 1 toddlers room and a school. There are around 8-10 workers and several volunteers.

The volunteer is expected to assist in the above mentioned activities, assisting in the areas where the children need help (assisting the children to take there bath,clear ther teeth, prepare them for school, assisting them in doing there homework, feeding or helping them taking breakfast), to be a supportive helping hand  in the project  in the daily activities, organizing or supporting them, taking care, assisting and talking with the people from the community, assist  the children during the recreational, educationall and leisure activities (Sport,, dance,draming, excursions outside the neighborhood, art and handcrafts, story telling etc. Volunteers are  also to develop and organize programmes in collaboration with the project heads  based on there personal interest or talents.


The volunteer should be matured, open minded and a team player. Above all the volunteer should have patience or be willing to adopt to certain Ghanaian culture systems during his or her stay.

- Care givers providing leisure activities or lessions such as teaching music or musical instrument, theater, painting, singing, Sports

The project would provide accommodation for the volunteers. This can be either host family or live in the project. Volunteers must also bear in mind that, they would be sharing room with other volunteer. The project in collaboration with ICYE GHANA will make provision for their feeding during their stay.
